As expected the high amounts of rain and warm humid weather have caused spore counts to rise. Zinc dosing should now be at the full level and continue for the next 3 months at least.
Spore count results for grass samples brought into the clinic for testing this week are as follows:
- Hinuera West – 25,000 (moderate) on 20.2.2017
- Matamata- 85,000 (Tower Road) on 20.2.2017; 15,000 (Waharoa Rd West) on 21.2.2017; 10,000 (Racecourse area) on 23.2.2017; 15,000 (Station Rd) on 23.2.2017
- Peria – 40,000 (high) on 20.2.2017
- Piarere – 60,000 (high) on 24.2.2017
- Richmond Downs – 55,000 (high) on 23.2.2017 and 5,000 (low) on 21.2.2017
- Te Poi – 50,000 (high) on 22.2.2017 and 35,000 (moderate) on 23.2.2017
- Tirau – Nil, 5,000, 20,000 and 25,000 on 20.2.2017
- Walton – 10,000 (low) on 22.2.2017
- Wardville – 5,000 (low) on 20.2.2017
