Jasmin joined the Veterinary team here at MVS in February 2014 after graduating with honours from The University of Sydney in 2012.

Jasmin has a special interest in the field of reproduction, with her honours thesis comparing methods of cryopreservation for sheep embryo transfer. In January 2015 Jasmin began a two year Residency program in reproduction under the guidance of reproduction specialists Drs’ Fiona Hollinshead and Dave Hanlon. Prior to this Jasmin worked as a small animal and dairy clinician at MVS.

Jasmin has enjoyed meeting many of the dairy clients over the past 12 months and is looking forward to continuing her work on farm concentrating on all reproductive aspects including calvings, pregnancy testing and anoestrus cow programs.

In her spare time Jasmin enjoys getting involved in most sporting ventures including swimming, netball and tennis and spends weekends traveling around the country to see all that New Zealand has to offer.

We are very excited and proud to let you all know that in August 2017 passed the American College of Theriogenologists board examinations that were held in Colorado. She has now finished her 3-year residency with MVS and in September 2017 started a seasonal equine position in Victoria, Australia managing mares for Artificial Insemination and Embryo Transfer.


Kath Coppard

Kath was part of the MVS Retail Team from October 2013 until August 2014.
She came with sound clinical experience from her previous roles as a Practice Nurse at the local Medical Centre and as a farmer. Kath has now rejoined her husband Derek back on the farm rearing the calves.


Graham Frost

November 26, 2012

Graham was with MVS from 1992 until August 2013 and provided clients entering the clinic with prompt service and sound advice. He handled all clinical ordering for both products and veterinary equipment/supplies, oversaw inwards goods and with over half a century in the farming sector had invaluable knowledge and experience.

Graham is now retired but still calls in every now and again for morning tea or just to say hi.

Milking Machine Tester

Company Vehicle Fleet Manager

Murray joined MVS in September 1988 as a technician and has been part of the furniture since then.

Murray covers a wide area in assisting vets in the day-to-day running of the dairy side of the practice.

He is a qualified milking machine tester who can look at solving machine problems as well as the MVS Vehicle Fleet Manager.

His interests outside of  work include playing golf and watching most types of sport on TV.

 

Murray retired from MVS in November 2021.


Marit de Jong | BVSc, BSc

November 26, 2011

Marit graduated from Massey University and had been practising for six years in the central North Island and South Taranaki regions. She joined the MVS Farm team in 2010 and is an InCalf Advisor. Her special areas of interest are calving, BVD investigation and assisting farmers in implementing BVD management policies.

Marit left MVS in April 2017 to be closer to family in the Hawkes Bay

 


Katherine Martin

Key Account Manager – Dairy

Katherine joined MVS in October 2002 as part of our Administration Team. Over the years she has been involved in many areas of administration, including debtors, creditors and marketing and has provided support to Retail, Small Animal, Equine, GlenBred and Farm Teams.

Katherine has a passion for working in the Farm Team and currently coordinates all routine seasonal bookings including vaccinations, dehorning, milking machine testing and teatsealing. She is the Infovet Administrator for MVS which involves (among other things) the safe handling of all sign ups and transfer of client data to MINDA and CRV. Katherine liaises with our farm veterinarians for the MVS Bulk Milk BVD Monitoring Service and provides support to the Farm Marketing Team.

As Key Account Manager – Dairy, Katherine also coordinates all farmer reports for pregnancy testing, Milk Quality & RVM Consultations and trace elements.

Outside of work Katherine enjoys chilling out with her husband and the kids, gardening, listening to great music and spending time with friends and family.


Lisa Holder

Business Manager

Lisa joined MVS in August of 2005 as part of our Administration team and in November 2012 was promoted to Business Manager.

Lisa is currently studying part time to achieve her Bachelor of Business degree, majoring in Human Resource Management. She is actively involved in the day to day operations of MVS with a primary focus on human resources.  Lisa especially enjoys proactively working with our many teams to support them in achieving their goals.

Lisa is a dedicated mum to her son Evan and loves to get out and about with him as often as possible.  She enjoys all things outdoors, with a keen passion for horse riding and scuba diving!
